Saturn Daze 2022

Winemaker notes:
50% Syrah, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Syrah and Merlot underwent carbonic maceration, whole bunch ferments. Cabernet was destemmed. All parts had wild yeast parties. Pressed to neutral American oak barrels for a couple of moonths, or three.

Blended and bottled with a dusting of sulphite. Malo-lactic fermentation an ongoing concern.

Purple fog collected on a mild morning. Forming at 570m elevation in the mid-latitudes of Saturn. Suggestions of an obscure red fruit with a green tingle, the mouthfeel is mysteriously smooth. Encompassing the palate and flooding the head region, this liquid jives to Saturn’s rhythms. SATURN that which concerns ripening or all that is finest within the grape.
