Shipping
It depends on where you are. COVID is also a factor currently which may push out timeframes.
At present, we're only delivering to our local area in NSW (Coffs Harbour and surrounds), and you can expect to receive your goodies the following day after placing an order.
We will be shipping nationally in the days to come, so you can expect to receive your order based on the following:
Shipping times to most major Australian cities and metropolitan areas is usually 1-5 days from the date of dispatch.
Melbourne and Adelaide expect 3-5 business days.
Perth and Hobart around 5-10 working days.
Australia is a big place, so for the rest of the country delivery varies considerably, with rural and remote areas likely to experience slight delays, but on average goods are delivered within 3-10 days of dispatch. Please get in touch if you have a query and we’ll do our best to get more specific.

Sorry but no, we only ship within Australia.
If you're based on the Coffs Coast NSW we deliver locally ourselves. We send wine all over Australia, and use most major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
We will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number once your order is shipped.
An important premise: wine bottles are heavy and subsequently shipping is expensive! The Vin is not backed by venture capital money – we proudly are an independent business and must charge shipping on most orders, otherwise, we wouldn’t be in business.
We offer free shipping for orders over $200 Australia wide. We charge a shipping fee if it falls outside of the above amount. Costs are calculated based on the size of the order and your location.
We try to keep our shipping rates reasonable while still delivering your order as reliably and efficiently as possible, as well as being carbon neutral. If you have freight problems, please contact us directly.
You can modify or cancel your order as long as it has not been packed and/or shipped. We will do our best to accommodate any changes or cancellations before shipping. To modify your order please email orders@thevin.co with your order number. Depending on how quickly you get in touch with us we may or may not be able to make the change, but we will do our best.
With our Express and Carbon Neutral delivery, if a parcel cannot be delivered on the first attempt, it will either be delivered to a nearby location for collection or made available for a free re-delivery.
After a delivery attempt is made, the driver will leave a card with tracking information and instructions for re-delivery or pick-up. An email will also be sent to you with this information.
If an incorrect address is used and the item is returned to sender, unfortunately we will have to charge you for the cost of this service.
If a package gets returned to us after three failed delivery attempts, we can only re-ship the wine upon payment of re-shipping fee. We are sorry about this, but shipping wine is expensive. Please make sure there's always someone at the address you enter as your shipping address, or include an order note to give 'authority to leave' goods.
Product
As natural wines are very sensitive to the surrounding environment and perishable if not taken care of, we do not offer change of mind refunds. Under the Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For orders where a mistake has been made or there is a product fault, or is wrongly described or breaches a consumer guarantee, please let us know within fourteen (14) days of receiving the order and we will happily exchange the product upon presentation of your proof of purchase. All returns and exchanges are handled via email.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging, and we also require a receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, please email us at cheers@thevin.co with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. You can expect to receive your refund within 5-10 days of us receiving the product and approving the refund. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Other
We occasionally cancel an order due to a shortage of goods or suspicion of fraud. If we do cancel your order, we will contact you immediately with an explanation.
