Winemaker notes:
The grapes were carbonic-macerated in vat for 3 weeks then aged in used French oak for 3 months to show the other character of cool climate Syrah instead of classic Barossa style.
“Kein fear vor vier” which inspired from German words “Kein bier vor vier (No beer before 4 o’clock)” as “no fear even 4” meaning the pH raised up to 4.0 but made decision to not add any additives to it.
Sourced from a single vineyard in Kersbrook, Adelaide Hills.
