Jilly Wine

Banana Girl 2021

$37

Tasting notes:
This is for anyone wanting to try something new – somewhere between safe and 'out there' (for those not familiar with skin contact whites). Tarty, textural and mouth-wateringly delicious... like nectarines, kiwi fruit and... banana (of course). Brimming with intensity vibrance.

We ate with: Sea salt corn chips
We listened to:
The sound of the ocean + good conversation

Winemaker notes:
The Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc was pressed, and instead of discarding the skins as normal, we fermented the wine on skins for 10 days, and then basket pressed to old barriques for 3 months until bottling.

Textural driven orange wine with loads of tannin and mouthfeel. Banana on the nose, textured palette, passionfruit Acidity. Organic, wild yeast, skin contact, not filtered or fined.

1200 bottles produced.
